Kendriya Vidyalaya Almora has started working in 26/07/1986 for Classes I to V then upto class XII in a temporary building in poorvi pokharkhali Almora . Later on in the year1999 the school has been shifted to its own building . New building of Vidyalaya is situated in Syalidhar on Kosi Road , near RTO Almora. Vidyalaya is about 8 KM from Almora Bus Stand. It is 1 section school. Now it become a PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Almora. Balvatika III is also started in this vidyalaya. In class XI and XII there are two streams i.e. Science, Commerce.
