    Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has taken up a number of initiatives to align pedagogy, assessment and capacity building of teachers as well as students in order to achieve the NIPUN Bharat’s Mission for ensuring Foundational Literacy and Numeracy for all the students. For this our school has taken various steps. Teachers are enrolled in capacity building programme under DIKSHA.

    • Implementation of toy library in the vidyalaya that is equipped with many educational and skill-based toys that helps to improve the cognitive and psychomotor domain of the child.
    • Teachers contributed to enrich the learning environment for the students by developing various teaching-learning materials with their learning outcomes.
    • Class library is established in each class with age-appropriate books in both the languages (Hindi and English) to inculcate reading habits in students. In addition, an open library and a reading corner is set up in primary wing that contains various periodicals, magazines and books with a proper sitting area for leisure reading.
    • Activity and play based learning strategies are adopted by the teachers in their day-to-day teaching inside and outside the classroom.
    • Learning outcomes are displayed in each class to aware students about the aims and objectives of Numeracy and Literacy of their respective classes.
    • To develop communication skills in students, sight words as well as daily used words and sentences are displayed in each classroom that helps to improve the social domain of the child.
    • The magic box (Jadui Pitara) is developed in each class that contains toys, puppets, books and various materials required for performing various activities with fun.
    • A separate assembly for primary students is organized to give ample opportunities for expressing themselves with confidence and to overcome stage fear.
    • Initiative taken for assessment of oral reading fluency wherein the focus is on assessing the reading levels of class 3 students in our school. Theassessment of the students was conducted through TARA App used for testing Oral Reading Fluency of Students.Thereafter, a plan of action was devised to follow up and improve the oral reading fluency skills of the students.
