Students Achievements
Three students of class 12 (Makshi, Ayush and ANubhav) and Arjit SIngh from Class 10 were selected for KRITI initiative by IIT Kharagpur. KRITI (Knowledge, Research and Innovation for Transformative Impact) is a flagship initiative by IIT Kharagpur designed to nurture scientific curiosity and research leadership across every stage of the academic journey, from school students to early-career faculty.
Prerna Joshi, a Class 10 student of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Almora, has been invited to the Independence Day ceremony to be held at the Red Fort in New Delhi on August 15, 2026. She has received an official invitation from the Ministry of Defence.
Prerna Joshi was selected based on her outstanding performance in a national painting competition organized on the theme “India 1947 vs India 2047.” The competition was hosted by the Ministry of Defence through the MyGov platform to mark Independence Day. Out of more than 9,300 entries received from across the country, Prerna secured the eighth position.
For this achievement, alongside the invitation to the Independence Day ceremony, she will be awarded a certificate and an honorarium of ₹5,000.
